As a result, the show now has it's own subsection in the movie vault.
--> Click!
As the series keeps going, what you will find here:
- Fox's episodic press releases with story summary and crew information
- episodic and character promotional pictures
- weekly previews/clips for the next episodes (if someone uploads them, probably through youtube).
What you will not find here:
- Pictures/Interviews of and with the actors out and about
- Unofficial spoilers.
Both pictures and spoilers will be posted somewhere else though, more about that as soon as it's done.
As for now, I added three clips from the pilot and the official trailer for the series over here, as well as four promo pictures (also from the pilot ) here.
New Lasse project
26 Jul 2007
Lasse Hallstrom is set to direct Anthony Zimmer, a remake of the 2005 French film. Spyglass is financing and has set an early 2008 production start in Europe, according to Variety.
The film will be Hallstrom's next feature assignment and the script, written by Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park), is a thriller concerning an American tourist who finds his life in danger when a female Interpol agent uses him as a dupe to flush out an elusive criminal with whom she once had an affair.
The original movie was written and directed by Jerome Salle.

A thriller? That would be a first.
And a link to the original movie.
In other news, Lasse and family are currently in Sweden [Click for picture], here's a little excerpt that Anton translated:
What's going on over there?
"We're going to do a film together, "Love Bombing" based on the Dramaten play. Then I have a couple of TV projects that I unfortunately can't talk about", says Lasse.
In another interview from a few weeks back either Lena or Lasse said something about filming Love Bombing in the West Indies, but that could just be a rumour.
New Amsterdam
26 Jul 2007
Fox's TCA days were Monday and Tuesday, and this is what Michael Ausiello from TVGuide had to say about the NA panel:
NEW AMSTERDAM PANEL
4:03 pm: It's NYPD Blue if Sipowicz was immortal. And hotter.
4:05 pm: Amsterdam lead Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has been a regular fixture at the hotel gym this week. Scoop: He can do about 10 chin-ups. That's nine and a half more than me.
4:18 pm: A reporter basically accuses the producers of ripping off Highlander. They claim they never saw it. Said reporter isn't buyin' it and proceeds to aggressively interrogate them. Awkwardness ensues.
4:30 pm: [Crickets]
4:32 pm: Sensing that the session is limping to the finish line, a Fox publicist pulls the plug 15 minutes early. Loving her for that.
Um yeah. [Source]
I will try to post some more critic's reactions, but overall the majority seems to think that New Amsterdam will be one of the first victims of Fox's annual "winter purge" of new shows. (Speaking from experience, this doesn't seem all that unlikely)
Fox also has a temporary official site up here.
And from The Futon Critic comes the premiere date:
Tuesday, Sept. 25
8:00-9:00 PM NEW AMSTERDAM (Series Premiere)

Another new Lasse project
18 Jun 2007
Oscar-nominated screenwriter Dan Futterman, who also acts and plays Daniel Pearl in the new film A Mighty Heart, was on hand for Friday's A Mighty Heart press junket in Manhattan, and talked about his upcoming projects. He said he's lined up Sarah Jessica Parker to star in and Lasse Hallstrom to direct his next film, Finn at the Blue Line. "I wrote a romantic comedy with my wife. It's called Finn at the Blue Line," Futterman said. "We have a really good actress, Sarah Jessica Parker. Lasse Hallstrom said he wants to direct it. We're gonna try to get people to actually write a check for it. Hopefully that will get going shortly." No plot description was given, but the project is also mentioned, along with Parker and Hallstrom's names, in the official press notes that were passed out at the junket.
Interesssting.
For people who don't know who he is (like me, had to look him up

Official New Amsterdam Trailer
I still don't really know what to think about it, but the second half of the trailer certainly looks interesting.
